The word “Montessori” found its way into my brain one day and just sat there, gently and quietly nagging away at me. To be very honest, I had no idea what Montessori really was. At the time I was working in school administration, however, I eventually decided to pay attention to my nagging “inner voice” and began my Montessori training in 2008. It was then that I discovered my true calling to serve children. Finally my actions had caught up with what my inner voice had been trying to tell me all along.
I have worked in Montessori schools in South Africa, New Zealand and now Australia. I chose Caboolture Montessori School because of the people, first and foremost, passionate staff, parents who want the best for their children and children who love coming to school – a perfect community to become part of and contribute to.
The thing I enjoy most about my role as a Cycle 1 teacher would have to be the children – they keep it real, are too honest for my own comfort level sometimes! Can laugh at themselves and with each other and are always excited to learn and share.
