Before joining CMS in 2019, I worked as a Classroom Teacher at a state school in Townsville.  I moved back to this region and chose to work at CMS as the Montessori approach and methodology resonated with my core values and beliefs about education.

My role as Cycle 2 Class Director is to provide CMS students with the best possible education through Montessori principles and curriculum.

The thing I most enjoy about teaching is sharing my passion for learning. I love to help students feel positive about themselves and their school and as a result children see their learning as purposeful.

One of the main reasons I was drawn to Montessori Education is Dr Montessori’s philosophy of self – directed learning. The concept that children approach learning in a beautiful space that is considered a home away from home is very moving and aligns closely with my core values and beliefs about schooling.

My personal interests include spending time with my family and friends, playing with my fur babies (a cat & a dog) and being in outdoors in nature.
