Welcome to Caboolture Montessori School

Dear Caboolture Montessori Community,

I am writing to introduce myself as the new Principal of Caboolture Montessori School. It is a genuine privilege to join this community, and I do so with great respect for the strong culture, relationships, and learning that are already established here.

The Montessori philosophy resonates deeply with me. Its emphasis on the whole child, independence, respect, and purposeful learning closely aligns with my own beliefs as an educator and leader. I see schools as living communities — places where children and adults alike are continually learning, reflecting, and growing together. I am committed to honouring and strengthening the values and practices that make this school such a special place.

I bring with me experience working as a Principal across Queensland in a range of educational contexts. These experiences have reinforced for me that no two school communities are the same, and that effective leadership is grounded in listening, trust, and a deep understanding of people and place. They have also shaped my belief that sustainable school improvement grows from strong relationships, shared purpose, and a calm, consistent culture.

I come to this role with curiosity and humility. I am excited to immerse myself in the life of the school, to listen carefully, to learn from you, and to work collaboratively to continue building a respectful, connected, and nurturing learning environment. I see myself as a lifelong learner and look forward to learning alongside you.

On a more personal note, I am a father of two, and family is central to everything I do. I enjoy sport and strongly value community connection and giving back, both of which have influenced my leadership approach and my belief in schools as important community hubs.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have already felt. I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all and to continuing the positive culture of Caboolture Montessori School together.

Warm regards,
Luke Bartlett

‘Everyone in the world ought to do the things for which she/he is specially adapted. It is the part of wisdom to recognize what each one of us is best fitted for, and it is the part of education to perfect and utilize such predispositions. Because education can direct and aid nature but can never transform her’.
