Early Years’ Reimagination
You may have noticed a flurry of activity taking place in our Cycle 1 environment over the last few months and we wanted to share some information about this. The project’s primary objective is to significantly enhance the functionality and beauty of the Early Years Learning Hub. So, the overt activity that you have noticed recently, is really just the tip of our ‘Reimagination’ iceberg!
We started off by really challenging our Early Years’ Team to deeply think about the work they do each day, to be mindful of the purpose behind it and to consider how they each individually would like to move forward into a bright Montessori future within the environment they currently occupy. Between them, the team composed the following Statement of Intent which we’d like to share with our community.
To nurture and ignite the exceptional potential within each child through the curation of a dynamic, wonder-filled learning ecosystem.

Goal of the Early Years’ Reimagination
As mentioned above, the main goal of the project is to greatly improve both the functionality and aesthetics of the Early Years Learning Hub and we are very proud that the team came up with such a succinct and perfect statement above. Armed with this affirmation, we planned the Reimagination project. The execution of the rollout includes the opening of the first reimaging at the start of Term 3. With meticulous preparation and updates to our early learning environments, we are dedicated to better serving the diverse requirements of the young children’s community. Through the implementation of this strategy, there is a promising prospect for the Early Years Learning Hub to evolve into a dynamic and engaging setting that further nurtures a love for learning among its participants. Furthermore, it will introduce Montessori principles to new audiences, including families, scholars, and visitors, showcasing the methodology’s reverence for children’s development and need for order. The focus will not only improve these spaces’ aesthetic and functional aspects but also align them with contemporary educational standards.
Participation in the Early Years’ Reimagination
We value the unique perspectives and contributions of all families of CMS. Your participation is an important element in creating a cohesive and inspiring Learning Hub that will have a lasting impact on our children’s early learning experiences. Together, we can shape a space that truly reflects our community’s values and aspirations.
We are immensely grateful to the parents who assisted us during both of the Working Bees. We saw your energy lovingly invested in cleaning the kitchen, windows, and bag hooks. Your help, though from a small group, made a significant difference. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of the P & F who also joined the working bee to lend a hand. It is this continued support, no matter how big or small, that makes our community thrive.
By co-creating this space, whether it is by cleaning the windows or brainstorming the vision for the area, we are truly thankful. We hope that you see that your role in this project plays an important part in the cultivation of your child’s potential which this dynamic and wonder-filled learning environment will unleash.
