Reimagining

Each year at the Caboolture Montessori School, we find a descriptive word that leads our Montessori ethos in a significant and purposeful way.

2022 is going to be a year with, yet again, consistent changes served-up to us.  There will be a willingness from many to ride the wave from the top; therefore the word we will adopt and focus on, will be – Reimagining.

Flexibility and adaptability will be enhanced by creativity and imagination. We will grow from past experiences and find ways to reconstruct our story

Reimaging our reality with reliability

When we talk to young children in a Montessori environment, we ensure that we surround our stories in reality. Reality is easy to build on, as the structure is solid and can be revisited with reliability. We adapt each story to meet the child’s life experience and to what is required for the young learner to enhance their understanding.

In a similar way the staff at CMS will work with current reality and opportunities to provide a learning experience that feels new and exciting and will reimagine the pictures they paint with the children in their care.

The process will extend to how we reimagine ourselves within our circumstances and the seas we travel. Our vessels may be similar, but our interests, abilities and creativity will be different and the way we navigate in 2022 will hopefully show the various ways we reimagine our beautiful space and learning experience.

Let’s start with our youngest community members, our Toddlers: let’s decode the new year with much positivity and ways to entice them to new learning. The journey can then continue with all CMS children.
