In early 2023 I joined the school through the OSHC program, made connections with the students and friendships among the staff. In July of the same year I was offered the assistants position in the Dolphins classroom with Sue and the students. From the moment I started it felt right and comfortable, I have loved every moment since.

At the end of 2023 I enrolled in my Diploma of Education (Primary) through USC which I am about to graduate from and have just recently been offered my Bachelor Degree in Primary Education which I will continue to study next year. I am excited to further my knowledge about teaching and the Montessori philosophy being able to bring new ideas and apply my learning within the classroom environment.

I love watching the students find a love of learning and being in a space they can truly be themselves while teaching them not only the curriculum but also, how to be a good person. As I had no prior knowledge of the Montessori pedagogy before I started, I have loved learning with the students how to use the material and watching the respect they have for it. I now feel comfortable enough that I only need to ask how to do something twice a day.

Outside of work I love to travel and camp with my partner and our dog Baylee, our goal is to travel the whole of Australia.
