Sue

Class Director

Before joining CMS, I worked for a sculptor on Hamilton Island and the Gold Coast, as a photographer travelling around Queensland and Northern New South Wales, in administration at the Eye Clinic at The Royal Brisbane Hospital and as a gardener.

I had already obtained my teaching qualification and, while working as a gardener at Grovely TAFE, I read an article about Montessori Education in a Grass Roots gardening magazine. This made me contemplate getting back into teaching, and the very next day there was an advertisement for an assistant position at Harmony Montessori. I applied for the position and as they say, the rest is history.

The thing I enjoy most about my work is the children; they are amazing and often make me smile.

Outside of work I enjoy going away with my family in our little retro caravan, “Chester”, playing with my kids and gardening.

Qualifications: International Montessori Teaching Diploma (Lower Elementary), Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)
