Before joining CMS in 2014, I worked as a teacher in both secondary and primary mainstream settings in Queensland and Victoria. Prior to that, I had wide-ranging experience including teaching English as a second language (to adults) and working in the ski, taxi and construction industries.

I choose to work at CMS firstly because I am passionate about Montessori education. My role is to create an environment which enables children to construct themselves. As a part of that environment, I guide and support the children to follow their own paths in their own time. The things I enjoy most about my work are the relaxed, respectful and homely atmosphere of the classroom, being able to share my own love of learning with the children and supporting them to understand their own social, academic and emotional development.

I mostly spend my time outside school fulfilling family commitments. I am also involved with Surf Lifesaving activities at Kings Beach in Caloundra.

Qualifications: International Montessori Teaching Diploma (Lower Elementary), Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), Graduate Diploma of Education (P-12)
